I’ll be biased, because I’m originally from the lake, but I’m absolutely convinced that it’s a magical place, of a romanticism from other times.
Lake Maggiore nestled between three borders, Lombardy, Piedmont and Switzerland and a few kilometers from Milan and Turin, with its towns, Laveno, Angera, le isole Borromeo, Arona, Stresait is a popular destination, especially for northern European tourists, who have always spent their holidays, but who also decide to get married on the lake, because they fall in love with it… and who can blame them?!
Lake Maggiore, with its enchanting villas, with breathtaking views, with its centuries-old gardens and parks, with starred restaurants, with cuisine of sublime flavours, with its mystical corners, with oil painted sunsets, the cobbled alleys of small villages, from the churches that dominate the blue of the waters, from the spectacle and the scents of the blooms….the lake is nothing more than a work of art, but animated.
Precisely because it is in great demand, you need to pay close attention to the times, it is better to hurry to choose the location that will frame your reception and maybe even your wedding ceremony, especially if the day you choose is over the weekend.
The needs of couples are varied: there are those who prefer an intimate place, those who will need to welcome many guests, those who instead want a princely place … the lake offers a tailor-made choice for every desire, precisely because it offers so many possibilities . Furthermore, compared to the nearby lakes of Como and Garda, it certainly has lower costs.
As for the weather, the days with little rain and mild climate, i.e. the best for getting married, are less and less predictable..but the months of June and September remain among my suggestions…but don’t worry, in case of rain, in the building site is always ready, a plan B.
Without any doubt, the decision to get married on Lake Maggiore is synonymous with refinement and great class.
